You will need the following materials.

• One or more small disposable containers that hold around 200-250ml of Glass Coat (polystyrene drinking cups are perfect for this job).
• A broad flat stirrer (like the ‘tongue-depressor’ that is included in each kit).
• Some low-tack masking tape (if you are working on a flat, borderless surface and there is a likelihood that the gloss will drip over the edges of the project).
• A spreader or a disposable paintbrush (width to be determined by the area you need to cover).
• Some plastic sheeting to place underneath your work to catch any drips or spills.
• A butane torch is recommended for the bursting of air bubbles.
• Check the temperature levels in the workroom. It is important that the room temperature is above 23 degrees Celsius. It is also better to work in an area that has low humidity. (We recommend less than 60%).
• Determine how much Glass Coat you will need to complete the project. You may need a ruler or measuring tape here. For each 250ml of Glass Coat (125ml of Part A and 125ml of Part B) you will coat an area approximately 60cm x 60cm.
• Clean the surface to be coated and seal if necessary.
• Mask areas of the project you need to protect from gloss.
• Elevate your project (if necessary) and lay plastic underneath to catch drips or overflows.
• Ensure that the area in which you work is dust and lint free as possible.
